virtual private roundtable
6 APR, 2-3PM UK [3pm CET]

At what point did I chose to fight? Was it the day that I woke up after my accident? Or was it the day that my doctor told me that I’d never walk again?[...] The truth is I chose this every day.

Karina Hollekim

Faced with continuous adversity, the bold leader has never been more important. Today’s leaders must now go beyond being commercially aware.

That’s why we are asking the question: how can a leader be human? Whether it is the immense challenge of making the workplace an inclusive and accessible ground for all – regardless of workplace environment – or the task of inspiring collaboration within a team disconnected both physically and mentally, the bold leader must prioritise the happiness and satisfaction of their team whilst inspiring individuals to perform and successfully collaborate with others.

Joining us is Karina Hollekim; previously one of the world’s best extreme sports athletes who, in 2006, miraculously cheated death in a near fatal accident. She was told she would spend the rest of her life in a wheelchair, yet boldly overcame this and returned a winner. Karina will be talking about how she embraced her experiences; driving her to become the resilient leader that she is today. Having developed and inspired countless individuals to be unmoved in the face of insurmountable odds, Karina’s insights are designed to help you become a more robust, adaptable, human leader.

So, how can you lead your team – to be uncompromising, to be resilient, to be bold – in the face of relentless adversity?
